Contemplating...

Thinking about jumping in once again to the NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo gigs for 2008.  Anyone out there interested in taking the plunge with me?

NaNoWriMo is a "competition" to write a 50,000 word novel during the 30 days of November - which happens to be National Novel Writing Month.  The competition part is simply competing with yourself to actually follow through with the big commitment.  I did this last year, and really enjoyed the feeling of having done what I set out to accomplish, though I remember the all-nighter I had to pull on November 29th... that part wasn't so fun.  But because it came after I had decided to give up, and then found a renewed determination not to cave in, it was very satisfying.

NaBloPoMo is a little more palatable.  Someone determined November to be National Blog Posting Month.  The idea here is to post at least one post a day on your blog for the 30 days of November.  One of the highlights of the 2007 event for me was that a few of my friends jumped in with me and two of them, Amanda and Jackie made the finish line!

ummm... I am not writing a book... that is what I was encouraging mandapanda to do...

as for blog posts... I don't have enough to say... BUT I do have 2 weeks to think about it... I will think... but IF I do... you must too miss jackie...
